Ivo Pavone (1929- ) is an Italian comic artist who began his carreer in 1945 for Asso di Picche [The Ace of Spades], then moved to Argentina and eventually took over Hugo Pratt's Sergeant Kirk in 1954.  In 1962, he returned to Italy and his credits include Pecos Bill, Canada Jean, Lupo Bianco and, for Lug, Rakar, Dick Demon, Afrikanders and Galton & Trumbo
